Our course design and equipment
How Geronimo Keeps You Connected
Geronimo zipline courses use a continuous belay system, a passive safety system that keeps you connected from the moment you enter the course until your feet are back on the ground. Unlike systems that require guests to disconnect and reconnect between elements, our system allows you to move seamlessly between ziplines, bridges, and platforms without ever detaching from the safety line.
Our courses are thoughtfully engineered so no hand-braking is required. Instead, you can focus on navigating the course, taking in the scenery, and enjoying the adventure without managing connection points or braking yourself on the ziplines.

Questions Guests Ask Before They Book
"I'm afraid of heights. Will I be okay?"
It’s completely normal to feel nervous about heights, especially if it’s your first time ziplining. Our ground school gives you time to get comfortable with the equipment and learn exactly how the system works before you leave the ground. The continuous belay system keeps you connected throughout the course, so you never have to manage clipping and unclipping yourself at height.
Most guests find that the nerves ease once they get through the first few zips and realize how secure the system feels. And if heights still aren't your thing, there's no pressure to continue to additional courses—there are plenty of other activities throughout the park to enjoy.
"What if I get tired halfway through the day?"
Take breaks anytime! There are picnic tables, hammocks, and other places to relax throughout the park, and the Snack Shack is available when you need a little fuel. With an Unlimited Adventure Pass, you can take your time and return to activities whenever you're ready—the pass stays active the entire day.
"What if I want to bail mid-activity?"
You can. There’s no pressure to continue if you’re truly uncomfortable. If you’re on a zipline course, your guide can help you decide the best way to proceed—whether that means helping you finish, backing you off the course if you’ve only completed a few elements, or assisting you back to the ground when necessary. At the rock wall, the auto-belay allows you to safely lower yourself whenever you’re ready. The goal is to help you feel comfortable while still giving you the opportunity to finish something you started.
"What if my kid panics?"
It happens. If a child gets nervous or changes their mind on a platform, our guides are trained to help them work through it without pressure or embarrassment. Depending on where they are in the course, the guide may help them continue, back them off the course, or return them to the ground and find another activity they’re comfortable with.
The goal isn’t to force a child through something they’re not ready for—it’s to help them feel supported, make a good decision, and still have a great day at Geronimo.
"What if it rains?"
Light rain typically doesn’t affect operations, so there’s no need to let a little rain stop your adventure. If severe weather or lightning moves into the area, activities may be temporarily paused until conditions are safe to resume. Our team monitors weather conditions throughout the day and will keep you informed if your plans are affected. See our weather policy for complete details.
"What do I do with my phone?"
Want to capture the adventure? An approved phone harness keeps your phone securely attached to your zipline harness, so your hands stay free and your phone stays safely with you. Phone harnesses are included with the Unlimited Adventure Pass and available to rent at the gear-up desk with an Adventure Pass or individual zipline ticket. Other phone holders, including neck pouches, fanny packs, and pockets, are not permitted on the ziplines.

Quick Answers Before You Visit
For booking, pricing, weather, and the rest of the logistical FAQ, see the full FAQ.
Do I need to be in shape to zipline?
No specific fitness requirement beyond the weight range and the reach minimum. You don’t need to be an athlete to enjoy Geronimo, but some courses are more physically demanding than others. Go Fly is the most approachable, while Go High and Go Long include inclined bridges and other elements that require more climbing, balance, and physical effort. Go Long in particular includes an optional aerial park with more physically challenging elements; guests who prefer to skip it can continue through the course without completing those aerial obstacles.
If you're comfortable with walking, climbing stairs, and moving your body through elevated obstacles, you should be able to enjoy the courses.
What if I've never thrown an axe before?
Most guests at The Range are trying it for the first time. Your Ax-pert starts each session with the basics—grip, stance, and release—then gives everyone time to practice before the competition begins. You’ll have a chance to get comfortable with the technique before taking on the competitive format.
Are the activities scary?
It depends on the activity—and on you. Ziplining can feel intense during the first few seconds, but most guests quickly settle into the experience once they get moving. For those looking for an extra adrenaline rush, Summit Plummet on Go High delivers a 42-foot vertical drop and is the most intense single moment on the courses.
The Range, rock wall, laser tag, and ground activities offer a different kind of experience, ranging from focused and competitive to playful and relaxed. And with plenty of activities to choose from, you can find the level of adventure that's right for you.
What actually happens at Ground School?
Ground School starts with a 7-minute video covering the structures you’ll encounter throughout the park—including platforms, bridges, and ziplines—along with how to use your gear and the key safety rules. After the video, you’ll have a chance to practice using your gear at ground level before heading into the trees. It’s a simple way to get familiar with the equipment and what to expect before you start the courses.
Will I be in a group with strangers, or with my own party?
Your group stays together throughout the experience. Depending on the size of your party, other guests may be gearing up or going through Ground School at the same time, but your group will not be split up or mixed into other groups on the courses.
Groups larger than about 25 guests are divided into consecutive time slots so everyone can stay together once they begin the adventure.
